ACT- Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Accepts and works with our basic human need for safety and control. Many of our painful feelings stem from the lack of it, and through many of our behaviours we strive in the getting of it.

Mindfulness and self awareness skills are explored to support and develop acceptance of what is beyond your control, and enable committed action towards what is in your control.

ACT can also be very beneficial in the area of relationships, because no matter how hard we try, we can not control another person, only ourselves. When we get down to the business of working with understanding and acceptance of ourselves, our relationships with others can improve.

These new skills and strategies can help support you to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life, guided by your strengths and values.

SFT- Solution Focused Therapy

Focuses on forward momentum, from the present moment towards your future hopes and visions.

We explore what works more than what isn't working, highlighting strengths rather than weaknesses.

This approach can be very helpful for adolescents and adult clients going through life changes and transitions.

Clients are empowered to discover their own direction and creative solutions.

We all have unique preferences, needs and strengths, so we will work together on what suits you and your situation.

"Every persons map of the world is as unique as their thumbprint. There are no two people alike, so when dealing with people you try not to fit them into your concept of what they should be." (Milton Erikson)

“ Meeting you was a turning point in my life, as you showed me what it really means to just be yourself, and be comfortable in your own skin."
